Bio
Brad Fisher began his career in education in 2012 as a service provider for students with special needs. His tenure has been exclusively in the public sector, predominantly working with schools receiving Title I and Community Schools grant funding, specializing in schools at the elementary level.
Uniquely, Fisher’s experience includes both school-based and district level roles; instructionally, as a paraeducator and long-term substitute to students and professional development facilitator for colleagues; administratively, as an enrollment and records secretary, fiscal secretary, and administrative assistant.
Fisher has volunteered his time to coordinate numerous annual talent shows, develop inaugural supplemental Black History Month and Women’s History Month programs, coach multiple seasons of step squad, and lead mentor groups for students and staff as an active union member.
In 2021, Fisher was named the Maryland State Education Association’s Education Support Professional of the Year. He was a nominee for the National Education Association’s Education Support Professional of the year in 2022. And in 2023, Fisher launched Learn and Found - dedicated to sustaining educators, connecting families, and championing students. Prior to working in education, he spent several years in the banking industry. He is a graduate of the Community College of Baltimore County.
